November Currently

Wow-it's soooooo crazy to think that it is November already!!!!  Time to link up with Farley for Currently!

Well, I remember the days when the time change meant sleeping in an extra hour...not so much anymore.  Baby B is an early riser, but with the time change early riser now meant before 4:30!!!!  So, we have been snuggling and watching cartoons most of the morning. :)

This cooler weather in Eastern NC!  Last night it was sooooo windy and cool!  It was FANTASTIC!

Again, see Listening. :)

My hubby is now up too, and making smells DELICIOUS! :)

Yesterday I started putting Thanksgiving decorations up.  I went out yesterday to Target and got these SUPER CUTE light up birch trees!!!!  They are in the Christmas section, but they fit PERFECTLY on the mantle for my woodland Thanksgiving theme! :)  I posted a picture of them on Instagram today (@immixingitupinmiddle)

Is it bad that it's nothing?  I know I am a teacher, but reading is just not something I do for enjoyment.  I feel as though my life is so incredibly busy, and there are other things that I would like to do to relax.

I can't wait to see what everyone else is up to!

  1. I am so glad you have Thanksgiving decorations. I am always sad when people start decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving. I'm always like noooo, it's not time. I am in love with the cooler weather we are having in Texas, and I can only imagine the awesome weather you guys are having. I have a friend who went camping in Ashville over the weekend, and I was drooling over the snow in their pictures. Enjoy!

  2. I need to get my hubby out of bed to make breakfast! I think he is using his extra hour today for sleeping or watching TV in bed. :( I was at Target yesterday and saw those super cool birch trees. Have a great week!

  3. No, it's not bad to not be reading anything. My principal always had us reading professionally and although I love to read, it was really hard to read for pleasure. Breakfast sounds like a really good idea right now. I think I'll go make mine. I can relate to the littles being up early. My 3 year old is an early riser. Hang in there!

  4. I can't wait to put my Thanksgiving decor up, either! I put a lot of "harvest" type decorations out for Halloween so some of them can carry over. It's my little guy's first Thanksgiving so I am so excited to make it special! :)

  5. I love decorating for the holidays! I am trying to step up my game this year! I might have to check Target out for those light up birch trees!

Found your blog through Currently! Would love for you to head over and check out my blog…

  6. I bet you spend a lot of time reading blogs... :)

  7. Aww, I do love Super Why! Fortunately our son slept through until we had to wake him up (we had to be at church at 7:30, so he had to wake up by 6:45 anyway. It does stink how having children changes that whole "extra hour" thing, though. Have fun decorating!

  8. I don't blame you for not reading. I am always reading with the kids and reading essays...sometimes I just want to veg out with TV instead of reading another novel :)
